Shambhavi School of Dance in Bangalore was established in 1993 as a Gurukul of
Indian classical dance and music. Its motto is to spread and perfect the classical and contemporary dance forms and create a healthy attitude towards art and life as a whole. Shambhavi is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, by dance exponents, creative professionals as well as international dance facilitators.
Dancer par excellence, Vyjayanthi Kashi's career spans over an impressive spectrum of performance, choreography, teaching, therapy and research. Her work has been featured in festivals including the Oriental Dance Festival - Germany,
Festival of India - Africa, India Film Festival - Malaga, Olympic Festival - Italy and many more. She serves on the Arts and Cultural Committee of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of India.
With a vision to promote artistic and professional excellence, she founded the Shambavi School of Dance, a non-profit organization, in 1993.
